On Monday a Poplar Bluff man sustained moderate injuries in an accident involving his tractor trailer.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol the crash happened shortly after 1 p.m. on Monday, December 29 when 58 year old James C. Hancock was driving eastbound in a 2010 Freightliner on Route E, five miles east of Greenville.
The Highway Patrol went onto say that it appears that Hancock’s vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway. Hancock then reportedly over corrected which led to him running off the left side of the roadway. His rig struck several vehicles as he was moving from one side of the road to the other and in addition it also smashed into a building.
The Emergency Services transported him by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center where his current condition is not yet known.
The investigation is ongoing but so far there are no further details apart from the fact that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
